Anti-panic doors
These “emergency exit” doors are commonly used in public establishments (ERP) or public spaces, as well as in workplaces. Here are some of our most frequent clients for these doors: large retail stores, performance halls, hospitals, industry, offices, and more. Depending on the location where they will be used, the emergency exits will also cover additional features such as fire resistance, anti-theft, bulletproof, acoustic, and others.

The performance of the Heinen anti-panic door
Heinen anti-panic doors are designed to ensure quick and safe evacuation, whether in public or private buildings. According to the EN 1125 standard, these doors allow easy opening under pressure, thanks to the panic bar. This solution is essential to ensure a quick exit during panic situations. Additionally, these doors can withstand pressure of up to 1000N, ensuring effective opening even under heavy congestion.
There is also another important standard, EN 179, which applies to emergency exit doors in buildings where occupants are familiar with evacuation plans, such as in offices or other workspaces. This standard sets specific requirements for the unlocking mechanism, which can be easily activated via a handle or a panic bar. Unlike EN 1125, EN 179 applies to situations where the mass influx of people is not an issue, but where quick evacuation remains crucial.
Heinen panic doors can also be combined with other security features, such as anti-theft or fire resistance, providing complete protection. However, if a glazed panic door is desired, it is important to note that its anti-theft performance may be reduced. In this case, it is recommended to consult the company to assess the impact of this configuration on the overall building security.
